| Objectives: |
At the completion of this program, the participant will be able to:
- List the components of rapid Cardiopulmonary Assessment leading recognition of respiratory distress/failure and shock.
- Perform the steps of recognition classification and management of arrhythmias.
- Demonstrate the use of an AED.
- Demonstrate the advanced life support skills needed for resuscitation of the critically ill and injured children.
- Describe the needs specific healthcare workers will utilize in specialized pediatric settings.
- Integrate cognitive knowledge and psychomotor skills to assess and treat infants and children who require advanced life support.
