EMS REFRESHERS
Cleveland Clinic EMS Academy V.I.L.T. EMS Refreshers, EMT-Basic and Paramedic Refresher courses utilizing a cross-breeding of instructional medium which meets all objectives as outlined by the ODOT and National Registry of EMT's. These refreshers combine: distributive learning, instructor-based distance learning, traditional classroom methods and psychomotor review to execute the approved courses.
The Cleveland Clinic EMS Academy is proud to offer VILT EMT Basic and Paramedic Refreshers. Our VILT refreshers combine distance learning and instructor-based traditional methods to facilitate the program. This Instructor-Based Distributive Learning format will provide EMS professionals a certain level of convenience and allow them to take courses from the Academy when typically they would not be able to do so. The EMT-Basic and Paramedic Refreshers meet the minimum requirements as set forth by the State of Ohio and DOT objectives and meet the National Registry Requirements.

30-hour EMT Basic Refresher = $230
48-hour Paramedic Refresher = $350 .
COURSE CALENDAR / SESSIONS
The Cleveland Clinic EMS Academy will provide a total of 6 Active Refresher Sessions in a calendar year with each lasting approximately 60 calendar days. Please refer to the session calendar on the enrollment form and on the site herein.
NATIONAL REGISTRY / PSYCHOMOTOR SKILLS VERIFICATION
The Cleveland Clinic EMS Academy in conjunction with approved and accredited EMS education institutions will be providing you a convenient option to practice your skills and prove skill competency. This is not a time to be "nervous", but a time to refresh and review and achieve the comfort in your ability to practice the ems-related skills at your respective level. The psychomotor objectives are included within the refresher.
SKILLS VERIFCATION CENTERS
The Cleveland Clinic EMS Academy has reached out to collaborate with approved and accredited EMS education centers throughout the state of Ohio to better and more conveniently meet your needs. You can select a skills verification site from a drop down menu on the registration form. The selected Skills Verification Center will contact you to make arrangements for the date of the psychomotor objectives review. Each Skills Verification Center meets or exceeds the requirements, has gone through a verification visit by our EMS Academy staff, will be periodicially audited and represent an academic alliance with Cleveland Clinic EMS Academy. The psychomotor review sessions should last 2-3 hours. Please do not contact any skills verification center with questions as all inquiries must come through the EMS Academy.
